Required for September 2023

We are looking for Gap Student Assistants from September 2023. Duties include assisting with games, some lesson assistance and supervision duties.

The Junior Branch is a very friendly working environment. Gap students are treated as respected and valued members of the team and our boys are a delight to work with.

This job would be ideal for anyone (male or female) who enjoys working with children and is happy to assist with sport, indoor classroom assistance and outdoor work. Gap work at UCS JB can be a very rewarding way of gaining first-hand experience of a working environment, whether or not you wish to work long-term in schools.

You would be paid at an hourly rate of £11.75 based on a nine-hour day, Monday to Friday. Occasionally, extra pay is available for accompanying trips. The school provides free lunches, coffee and refreshments as well as free gym membership at UCS Active. We are also usually able to provide free school-branded sportswear.

We are looking for candidates who are warm, friendly, keen to help, caring, enjoy working with younger children and are flexible in their outlook. Ideal candidates will be able to commit to the full academic year 2023–24 but we are also happy to consider candidates who want to work for just one or two terms.
